Our Story

Collecting and using beautiful handcrafted Polish Pottery has been my passion for over 25 years. Not only is the Polish pottery captivating in colors and design it is made of the highest quality material and is extremely durable. I use the stoneware everyday and am extremely satisfied with its beauty and endurance. This is one of the reasons why I was inspired to open an online store to make the Polish Pottery easily accessible at reasonable prices just for you. 

All of the Polish Pottery that is sold here at Halina's Pottery on-line store, is imported from Boleslawiec. Boleslawiec stoneware can be seen in museums, antique shops and in private collections throughout Europe. Excellent craftsmanship is a hallmark of Boleslawiec stoneware. Each piece is individually created, so no two pieces are exactly alike.

Boleslawiec stoneware originated as a folk art in the early 1800's. Inspired by the peacock feathers, farmers were instrumental in creating statement of strength and beauty in each piece of their tableware. Today in a small village of Poland, skilled artisans still individually handcraft and hand paint each piece with the same pride and care used over a century ago.
